This engagement session with Rachel and Tim was so fun! As Disney lovers, they went to Gatorland and Disney World for their engagement photos in Florida. It was such an incredible experience! It perfectly reflected them as a couple, and I loved having the opportunity to be able to authentically capture their unique love story. I love how specific and intentional your engagement photos can be!
Tips on Making Your Engagement Session Fun and Sentimental
I always encourage my couples to incorporate or do something fun, sentimental, or meaningful for their engagement photos! Here’s some ideas to help plan your engagement photos:
1. Recreate a Memory.
Whether it’s your first date, your proposal, or going to your grandparents’ property where you share a lot of memories from when you were dating, recreate those moments! I’ll document the entire experience and all of your intentional moments.
2. Go Somewhere You Love!
Your engagement photos are the perfect time to get professional photos that document your love doing an activity in some of your favorite places! You could head to the beach and make a bonfire, take a trip to the mountains, go bowling, or explore your neighborhood. Or like Rachel and Tim, you can go to Walt Disney World!
3. Enjoy Something You Love!
Do you have a favorite coffee shop you go to every Saturday morning? Is there a taco place you always go to for Taco Tuesdays that you look forward to every week? Or do you love to grab a pizza on Friday nights? Incorporate your favorite food into your engagement session! Not only can it help you feel less stressed to enjoy your favorite food during your engagement photos, but it authentically reflects you! Plus, it’s really fun!
4. Create a New Experience Together.
If you’re a couple that loves to try new things together, you should plan a new experience for your engagement photos (or I can help you plan it!). This is a great way to have a really fun date together while also getting professional photos to document you in this engagement season. It will capture the exciting anticipation and joy you have for the future together. Then, I’ll document your date as you experience a new coffee shop, hike, beach, or fun excursion!
How Rachel and Tim’s Engagement Photos Florida Were Intentional
Rachel grew up in a Disney family! She and her brother did the Disney college program together a few years ago. When we had our consultation call, we ended up bonding about our love for Disney! When she wanted to come to Orlando for her engagement session, I knew we had to do some Disney photos! They also wanted to have Florida engagement photos at Gatorland as well, as they have memories there as a couple. Also, Tim proposed to Rachel at Gatorland!
Our time spent together was enjoying fun places that were memorable to them and their story!
Tips for Your Disney Engagement Photos
If you’re thinking about having your engagement photos at Walt Disney World, make sure that you hire a photographer that also knows all about Disney World (I would love to take your engagement photos!), so you have a smooth, fun experience! That way you know the best ways to avoid huge crowds for intimate photos and have someone who can help you create the best plan for your time there. For these Disney engagement photos, we went to Cinderella’s Castle, the Wishing Well, and went on the Mad Tea Party (better known as the teacups)! For your Disney engagement photos, I can help you figure out where we should go to fully capture your love story at Disney!
